Opening of FPT Software Europe branch
June 4th, 2008 –
Hanoi, FPT Software Joint Stock Company officially announced the
opening of FPT Software Europe Ltd. in Paris, France. This is the
first European office of the FPT Corporation and will be officially
opened on June 13th, 2008.
With start-up
capital of US$300,000, FPT Software Europe has been established to
seize business opportunities brought about by the growing waves of
software outsourcing coming from Europe, the largest IT market in
the world, and also to provide better services to FPT Softwarefs
existing customers in the region.

Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the Board of Management & Vice President of
FPT Corporation declared: gFPT Software Europe is the third
international branch of FPT Software after Japan and Singapore. The
opening of FPT Software Europe will help our company diversify its
markets and provide the impetus for growth in the coming years.
Furthermore, this event affirms FPT Corporationfs globalization
policy.h
In 2008, FPT
Software Europe will focus on FPT Softwarefs traditional markets,
namely England, France and Belgium; and concentrate on human capital
development and operational management. In 2009, the company plans
to expand its business network to Northern European countries, e.g.
Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands. A second European branch is
expected to come into existence by 2010.
According to Mr.
Jerome Modolo, Director of Neopost Research and Development Center
in Vietnam, a representative from Neopost Corporate – the world
second largest mailing solutions provider, gEvery Corporation in the
world is seeking partners with both high technical capacity and the
ability to provide services to customers on site at a competitive
price. The opening of FPT Software Europe plays an important role in
bringing FPT Software closer to its customers and fostering an even
more cooperative relationship in business and technology between the
two parties. At the same time, this will serve as the physical and
linguistic bridge between operations on the two continents.h
FPT Softwarefs relationships with European partners and customers
FPT Software
first entered the European market in 2000 through its partner Harvey
Nash. After a few years, FPT Software has developed a pool of
software programmers who are fluent in foreign languages and
knowledgeable in Western cultures. In particular, 2004 saw FPT
Software taking a leap in this market by cooperating with IBM France
and Benelux. In 2007, FPT Software signed a long term contract to
become a strategic partner of the Neopost Corporation.
The European
technology industry has grown rapidly in the last few years, to
become the largest IT market in the world (expected value for 2008

Software outsourcing is considered one of the most important factors
leading to the fast growth of the IT industry. Northern and Central
European countries like Germany, England, France and the Netherlands
are the largest IT markets in the region.
