FPT SOFTWARE SUCCESSFULLY ASSESSED
AT CMMI LEVEL 5
Hanoi, Vietnam 29th May, 2006: FPT Software Joint Stock
Company, the leading software company in Vietnam, today announced
that the company has been successfully assessed at CMMI level 5, the
highest level in the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI)
capability maturity model.
This achievement places FPT Software among 150 companies worldwide
that have gained CMMI level 5 for their quality management systems.
With CMMI level 5, FPT Software affirms its commitment to
continually deliver high-quality software services to the
satisfaction of its customers. For example, between 2001 and 2005,
FPT Software experienced a significant improvement on average in
terms of the quality of its software processes with a 28% growth in
timeliness and a 40% reduction in leakage.
CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration), developed by the
Software Engineering Institute, is the next version of CMM and is
designed to replace CMM. It can be used to guide process
improvements across a project, a division, or an entire
organization. CMMI helps integrate traditionally separate
organizational functions, establish process improvement goals and
priorities as well as provide guidance for quality processes.
