Hanoi, 20 July 2007:
– Hanoi-based FPT Software Joint Stock Company partnered with Europe’s No. 1, and the world’s No. 2, mail processing giant NEOPOST, to establish an Off-shore Development Center (OSDC) located at its headquarters in Hanoi, Vietnam. The 3-year-OSDC co-operation model, signed by the two companies’ CEOs, takes responsibility to develop Embedded Software, PC Applications and Server Development for NEOPOST, and is expected to require up to 150 staff in the forthcoming period.

– FPT Corp. (FPT) and CMC Corp. (CMC), two leading Vietnamese ICT companies, have been confirmed by Microsoft as Large Account Resellers (LARs) to support the Government of Vietnam as it deploys genuine copies of Microsoft Office System across rural and government desktops. The confirmation of CMC Corp and FPT Corp as LARs follows closely on from the Enterprise Agreement (EA) which was signed between Microsoft and the Government of Vietnam on May 21st and witnessed by the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer - on the occasion of the latter’s first trip to Vietnam.

The Duke of York today witnessed the signing ceremony to renew
the agreement for the FPT Software - Harvey Nash (UK company)
software development centre (SDC) in Hanoi. The Duke of York,
who also toured Harvey Nash’s SDC in FPT Software’s offices, was
visiting in his role as the UK's Special Representative for
International Trade and Investment.
